Cayman Islands was my island of choice for my island adventure this year and I am still on a vacation high. This year my vacation goal was to try something new and what did I get myself into. This vacation was everything I wanted and needed plus more. It was 7 days of pure bliss. Now let’s get to it.As soon as I touched down on the island. I could not wait to feel the sun against my skin. My first hotel was about an hour away from the airport and on the east side of town away from everything. I arrived before the check in time and luckily the room was ready. I was able to change clothes, get me an island drink and some food. It was finally time to let the vacation begin. I was a little tired from the long flight but I did manage to feed some fish at a dock bar and enjoyed the scenic views.Whenever, I travel I always try to do something I have never done before and this time was no different. I have a fish allergy so I spoke to my doctor about doing a stingray and a snorkling tour. He advised me to find something else to do; but he knows me well. This made him follow up with if you must, get some swim pants and shoes, take some allergy medicine, and have your epipen on hand. Which is what I did and enjoyed snorkeling, swimming with stingrays and holding starfish. This was all offered on a private charter boat to Stingray City. In addition to all of that, you also received unlimited rum punch and it ended watching the sunset. I was glad I brought snacks to soak up the liquor. Another great adventure was the Crystal Caves Tours. There were three caves where the walls sparkled like glitter. The caves were amazing, but quite humid and a little scary to me. Once I saw the bats over my head, it was time for me to go. You heard me right bats and the were hanging upside down and freaked me out. Luckily, I did get to see pure water springs and lakes. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the caves. I was glad I wore comfortable shoes because their was hiking and tons of rocks.

I adventured out for a little night life. The weather was very humid everyday so little to no clothes was always the best option. I think I am a secret nudist so that was okay with me. I went to a karaoke bar, visited a local club called Wellys. I even tried some kangaroo sausage from a local Australian Restaurant called Tukas.

I enjoyed my time at the quiet pool. This pool was a great place to get away, meditate and think. I think it was called the quiet pool because it was the only pool without a swim up bar or jacuzzi. This day worked out just fine for me. I read an insert from Sasha Robinson upcoming book and enjoyed the peace.

The rest of my time was spent at swim up bars and in the salty ocean water. This was the perfect vacation for me. There was a little bit of adventure mixed with a whole lot of relaxation just the way I like it. I moved to a hotel closer the airport on day 6 and enjoy local sports bars and went souvenir shopping. This was definitely a well needed and deserved vacation and I enjoyed every minute of it.

A special thank you to Nadia (of Nadias Hair Salon 773-419-9028) for my hair. It was definitely maintenance free and did not let the chlorine or salt water break it down. I always try to vacation with hair that require no maintenance because who wants to fool with hair on vacation.
